Artist Statement
All paintings that I create are made from acrylics on canvas and are inspired by different styles of music. When I paint to music, rock or alternative inspires me to create dark or bright colors, dense lines and circular motions. Jazz music inspires contrasting vibrant colors and dynamic shapes. Classical music inspires lighter tone colors and free flowing designs. In my pieces I want to show a sense of movement, balance, and unity. When beginning a piece of work, I pick colors that are appealing, stimulating, and draw attention to the eye to create a pleasurable experience to the viewer.
